Censys ASM: CAASM and asset inventory facts (2026)

SHORT ANSWER

Censys ASM looks from the outside in, with first-party scanning of all 65K ports, and names integrations from ServiceNow CMDB to Microsoft Sentinel, Tenable VM and Axonius. A free platform account lets you see its data before a sales call. It covers internet-facing assets only, discovery starts from seeds you supply, and ASM pricing goes through sales.

Where is Censys strong, and where are its limits?

Strengths and limits come from the vendor's own pages and our sources; a limit can be something we did not find.

Strengths

  • Sees the estate from outside: first-party scanning of all 65K ports finds services nobody listed.
  • A long integration list, including ServiceNow CMDB, Microsoft Sentinel, Tenable VM and Axonius.
  • A free platform account lets you look at Censys data before a sales call.

Limits

  • An external view only: internal devices, SaaS apps and identities are not covered.
  • Discovery starts from seeds you supply, and ASM pricing goes through sales.
