Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-10-11

This policy explains what personal data CAASM Finder (caasmfinder.com) handles and why. It describes what the site actually does: there are no user accounts, no payments, no comments, no analytics and no advertising.

Who we are

Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd. ("we") publishes CAASM Finder and is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us only through the contact form.

Using the site without giving us data

You can use the finder, the comparison pages and every article without telling us who you are. Your finder answers and your asset census selection are written into the page address (the query string) in your own browser. They are not sent to us as a separate record, and the site does not store them in cookies or browser storage.

Messages you send through the contact form

When you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, the topic you choose and your message. For a copyright notice we also receive the work you identify, the address of the material on this site, your two statements and your electronic signature.

We use this information to read and answer your message, to check and make corrections, to handle privacy requests and to process copyright notices. The form is delivered by a form delivery provider we configure for that purpose.

Technical data the host records

Like any website, the site is served by a hosting provider whose servers record technical data automatically when a page is requested: your IP address, your browser and device details, the pages requested and the time. This is used to deliver, operate and secure the site, for example to detect abuse. We do not use it to build profiles of visitors.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets no cookies and uses no localStorage or sessionStorage. The cookie policy has the details.

Google Fonts

Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser fetches them, your IP address and browser details reach Google. Google describes how it handles these requests in its own privacy policy. The site loads no other third-party resources, no analytics and no advertising.

Purposes and legal bases

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests to operate and secure the site and to answer the messages you send us. Where the law requires consent for something, we ask for it first, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who receives personal data

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the site for us.
  • The form delivery provider, once the contact form is connected, which passes your message to us.
  • Authorities, where the law requires us to disclose information.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the EU, the UK or Israel, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. Israel is covered by an EU adequacy decision.

How long we keep data

We keep contact messages as long as we need them to handle your request and any follow-up, and then delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited period set by the hosting provider.

Your rights

EU and UK. You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection supervisory authority.

California. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you can ask to know what personal information we hold, to delete it and to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing, which we do not do. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Israel. Under the Privacy Protection Law you can ask to review the information held about you and to have it corrected or deleted.

To use any of these rights, send a message through the contact form with the topic "Privacy request". We may ask for information to confirm the request is yours.

Children

The site is written for security and IT professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

If what the site does with personal data changes, we will update this page and its date.
