ServiceNow now owns Armis: what should teams that run either one ask?

SHORT ANSWER

ServiceNow completed its acquisition of Armis on 20 April 2026, and Armis Centrix remains available standalone and as part of the ServiceNow AI Platform. That is what is confirmed. Pricing, packaging and roadmap changes are not described on the pages we read, so the useful response is a short list of questions for your account team rather than a change of plan.

What is confirmed?

Armis announced on 20 April 2026 that ServiceNow had completed its acquisition. The announcement says Armis Centrix remains available as part of the ServiceNow AI Platform and as a standalone product. That is the whole of what our sources confirm about the deal.

What do the two products do?

They sit at different points in the inventory chain.

ServiceNow's CMDB is a system of record for configuration items that IT workflows run on: incidents, changes, problems and requests consolidate on it. ServiceNow Discovery populates it with agentless discovery of infrastructure on-premises, in the cloud and in containers, plus a unified agent, and Service Graph Connectors bring in third-party data. OT inventory sits in a separate Operational Technology Management product.

Armis Centrix builds an inventory from agentless, passive discovery of IT, OT, IoT and medical devices, managed or unmanaged, and sells it as a Cyber Exposure Management Platform with modules for prioritization and remediation, vulnerability management and early warning. Its asset management module pushes enriched data back to the CMDB.

In the finder's terms, ServiceNow describes the CMDB-centred and agent-based approaches, and Armis describes exposure management, with agent-based collection, CAASM aggregation and CMDB support each described with a condition. You can read both notes: Armis Centrix and ServiceNow.

What is not confirmed?

On the pages we read, nothing about price changes, bundling, renaming, contract terms for existing Armis customers, or which ServiceNow products Armis features will appear in. We have not assumed any of it, and neither should a buying decision.

What should ServiceNow customers ask?

  • Is Armis Centrix offered as part of an existing ServiceNow agreement, or licensed separately?
  • How does Armis data reach the CMDB today, and does that change?
  • How does Armis discovery relate to ServiceNow Discovery and to the separate OT Management product, and when would you use each?
  • What happens to Service Graph Connectors for other discovery and inventory tools you already feed into the CMDB?

What should Armis customers ask?

  • Do contract terms, support channels or pricing change at renewal?
  • Does the standalone product keep its integrations with CMDBs and tools other than ServiceNow?
  • Which modules (VIPR-Pro, vulnerability management detection and response, Early Warning) stay standalone?

What about teams that run neither?

The deal does not change what each product describes today. It does change one thing: if you value independence between your CMDB and your device discovery, you now need to ask about it explicitly. Many teams keep the CMDB as the record that workflows run on and use a separate source to check it; Axonius, runZero, Lansweeper, Device42, Censys and Qualys CSAM all describe sending data to ServiceNow.

How should you read vendor statements during a transition?

Carefully, and with dates. Product pages change after an acquisition, sometimes quickly, and old pages can stay online for months. Every fact on this site carries the date we read it: 27 September 2026 for most of these two vendors' pages, and 11 October 2026 for Armis's asset management page and marketplace listing. Before relying on any of them in a contract, check the current page and ask for the commitment in writing. That applies to integrations most of all, because they are the part of a product most exposed to a change of owner's priorities.

Does the finder treat Armis differently now?

Slightly. Armis Centrix now counts as connecting to ServiceNow, because the acquisition note says it is available as part of the ServiceNow AI Platform. When a reader answers that they already run ServiceNow, Armis gets the same +2 platform points as any other vendor that describes a ServiceNow connection. The rule is written out on How matching works.

What next?

If you run ServiceNow, answer question 06 of the finder with ServiceNow and look at which vendors come out alongside it. Then take the questions above to your account team.
